Matt is currently a junior at USC pursuing a degree in computer science and business administration. He currently serves as the co-president of VIG. On-campus, he is a middle distance runner for the USC Men’s Track and Field team. For work experience, he has previously worked at Old West Investment Management, a value-based hedge fund in Los Angeles. Next summer, he will be interning in Barclays Investment Banking Division in Los Angeles working with the financial sponsors team. In his spare time, he enjoys running, playing golf and playing poker.
Warren is currently a junior at USC pursuing a degree in business administration and minoring in cinematic arts. He currently serves as the co-president of VIG. For work experience, Warren’s first internship was working at a value-oriented hedge fund called Old West Investment Management. Last summer, he worked at Ring, a growth stage company acquired by Amazon. Warren is interested in working with category changing and category creating technologies. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, being average at golf, and trying out new foods.
Bharath is a junior pursuing a major in Business Administration with a minor in Applied Analytics. Prior to starting school at USC, he served in the Singapore Armed Forces as a Machine Gun Operator in a heliborne infantry unit. This summer, he interned at Arrowroot Advisors, a boutique investment bank focused on middle-market SAAS. This upcoming summer he will be joining Moelis & Co's Investment Banking Division in Los Angeles. In his spare time, he enjoys going to the gym, watching football, reading and hiking.
William Andreasyan is a senior pursuing a B.S. in Business Administration at the USC Marshall School of Business. While at USC, William served as the president of the Value Investing Group and as a portfolio manager of the Undergraduate Student Investment Fund (USIF), which manages a $3 million portfolio comprised of equities, fixed income, and ETFs. William spent the past summer working at ValueAct Capital in San Francisco, a $13 billion activist fund focused on building sustainable value for all shareholders. Prior to this, he worked on the domestic research team at Harris Associates in Chicago, a $140 billion value-based mutual fund which has outperformed the broader market net of fees since 1991. In his free time, William enjoys reading, running marathons, and playing poker.
Joey is a senior studying Economics and French. He joined the Value Investing Group during the first semester of his freshman year and served as president during his junior year. Joey spent the past summer working in the equity research department at The TCW Group, a global asset management firm with ~$200 billion in assets under management. In his spare time, he enjoys going to the gym, playing piano and reading.
Viren is an undergraduate at USC pursuing a degree in Business Administration at the Marshall School of Business. While at USC, Viren has been very involved in the school’s finance community and has served on the executive board of the Trojan Investing Society. This past summer, Viren interned at MidCap Financial, Apollo Global Management’s $16B middle market debt fund, in the firm’s Leveraged Finance & Financial Sponsors team covering middle market private equity transactions. Outside of school, Viren is extremely passionate about distressed debt and special situations investing. He enjoys reading books and working out in his spare time.
Amit Lingampalli is a sophomore studying Economics/Mathematics and Business Administration, having joined VIG in the beginning of his freshman year. Originally from the SF Bay Area, Amit has been involved with startups, worked on political campaigns, and founded his own business in the past. On campus, he is involved with the Trojan Investing Society and is a co-founder of Collegiate Networks, another club at USC. Amit spends much of his time researching with institutions, having worked on political research with USC and market research with Harvard Business School. Now, Amit is currently developing a quantitative investment fund with several colleagues across the country, focused on implementing machine learning to optimize portfolio allocation across various trading strategies. On his free time, Amit enjoys learning about self-improvement, studying the financial markets, watching insightful interviews, and exploring cool places with friends in the bay.
T.C. Le Fever
T.C. is a Sophomore pursuing a major in Business Administration with a minor in Economics and is on the pre-law track. He joined VIG the fall semester of his freshman year. On campus, he is also a member of the Trojan Investing Society’s Leaders Program, and Phi Alpha Delta, USC’s Pre-Law fraternity. Last Summer, he interned at Pacific Premier Bank where he worked on specialized projects in the areas of real estate investment risk analysis/mitigation, loan financing. In his free time, he enjoys managing his own investment portfolios, trading options contracts, reading, learning about behavioral economics and working out. and spending time with friends.
Ankush Bhat is a sophomore studying Economics/Mathematics. Ankush joined the Value Investing Group in the spring semester of his freshman year. This past summer, he interned at Old West Investment Management, a value-based long-short equity fund based in Los Angeles. His other activities on campus include playing the double bass for the Concerto Chamber Orchestra, intramural soccer, and tennis for Trojan Tennis Club. Aside from investing, Ankush enjoys watching movies and reading comic books.
Leo Kanaskie is a Sophomore studying Economics and Mathematics in the Dornsife College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences. Leo joined VIG in the spring semester of his Freshman year. Outside of VIG Leo spends much of his time managing his own, technology-focused, investment portfolio. In his free time, Leo enjoys reading, chess, watching Billions and playing squash/soccer.
